"I almost drowned as a kid, and when I came out of the water, I felt like a new person—more cautious, more aware, and more focused. Dave Lamar is that person, a new beginning," he explains.

Growing up in the Bronx, New York, Dave was surrounded by a rich musical culture. He recalls his early experiences with music, saying, "I've always had a passion for music. I used to play in a marching band—high-stepping drum line. Music has always pushed me through life, even when I was playing football. It was bound to happen." His passion for music runs deep, and it’s clear that he’s always been on this path.

As for what’s next? Fans are eagerly awaiting his upcoming project, Everybody Can’t Go. While it’s been delayed due to some feature collaborations and other business ventures, Dave assures us that it’s slated for release this fall. "It’s dropping for sure this year!" he promises.
